Confrérie du Saint-Péray

Confrérie du Saint-Péray

Place Louis-Alexandre Faure

SAINT-PÉRAY

The aim of the brotherhood is to make Saint-Péray's "still and champagne" wines known and appreciated and to contribute to various artistic, folklore and academic events.

With about thirty great dignitaries grouped around the Grand Master, it is structured into commissions in charge of organising the various events throughout the year: the celebration of Saint Vincent, the Prestige Evening, the Wine Market, the Autumn Chapter and participation in the Wine Festival.
The Brotherhood is present in the region, in Drôme, Loire, Ain, Ardèche, at the invitation of friendly brotherhoods sharing the same dynamism and the same desire to promote their productions.
Chapters of enthronement take place during events throughout the year. Since 1 September 1990, when the famous Jacques Pic, a native of Saint-Péray, was the first inductee, many people have been received into the Confrérie, such as great chefs Pierre Orsi, Michel Troisgros, Régis Marcon, Michel Chabran, Guy Savoy, Michel Rochedy, Alain Pic, Ludovic Sinz, Anne-Sophie Pic, Pierre Reboul and David Muller.
Numerous Grand Masters of brotherhoods, prefects, deputies, senators and general councillors, as well as people from Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands also had this honour, not forgetting Olympic champion Cécile Nowak.
The guestbook, opened in September 1990, collects the signatures of all these illustrious visitors.
