Caves of Soyons

On the Soyons site, an exceptional group of caves was discovered in the late 19th century. Today, two prehistoric and concretion caves are open to the public.

The Grotte de Néron plunges us into prehistory and the life of Neanderthal man.
The Trou du Renard (Fox Hole) reveals the subterranean world, giving access to a gallery of limestone concretions where stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, columns... create an enchanting setting.
The guided tour lasts one hour.

Combined ticket "caves + Soyons archaeological museum" Introductory archaeological excavation workshops for children (information on workshop dates available from the museum). Cave listed as a "Monument historique" and a "Natura 2000", "ENS" and "Vignobles et découvertes" site.

Opening periods

From 01/04 to 30/06/2024, every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 2 pm and 6 pm.
Closed exceptionally on May 1st.

From 01/07 to 31/08/2024, daily between 10.30 am and 6.30 pm.

From 01/09 to 31/10/2024, every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 2 pm and 6 pm.

Free entry for children < 5 years.
